I have used this company for many…
I have used this company for many years, as yet, I have been fortunate not to have claimed against the policy.
However, I was recommended to this company by a friend, who had successfully had a claim settled very quickly. With any company there will always be human errors, one has to speak as one finds!!.

Manila-based loss adjusters try to invalidate your claim
Ask for unnecessary information to try and deny your car rental excess insurance. For example they expect you as the customer to get in touch with the rental company, usually in a foreign country, and get hold of the damage report AND an invoice of all the repairs required. The AIG branch based in Manila in the Philippines is the company they sub-contract to try and avoid paying your claim. The clue is that their customer advisors call themself 'loss adjusters' - which means their main job is to reduce their 'loss' i.e. your claim.
There is no Live Chat button on their site - it is never visible because it is always 'busy'.

We had issues with burst tyres and…
We had issues with burst tyres and broken wheel in Argentina. The excess was paid without question
Sorry can't remember the date but 2019 January could be possible

Reasonable Cover for Fee
Used company before, never claimed, but reassured I have cover without having to pay excessive fees to the car hire company. Taking policy out easy and appears cover provided is clear.

Insurance 4 Car Hire
I purchased excess hire insurance via swinton. The underwriters are AIG.

I recently made a claim via their claim portal which was very easy to use.
It’s important you have the correct documentation from the hire company including the damage invoice(including pics).

The claim process took 14 days to process. Settlement payment was made via CHAPS next day to my nominated bank account

Easy to use and no problem making a claim
I have had to make a claim a few years ago. It was easy to do and there was no problem. I always take out a ploicy with insurance4carhire if I am using a rental car somewhere and the annual policy is very good value

They are without doubt poor in service…
They are without doubt poor in service and communication. Three days after buying the policy and still no confirmation of purchase or policy documents. So looking to cancel I was told that they can only be contacted by on line chat bot....which when you do fobs you off with sorry but our email system is still down etc etc etc. If it's this bad while buying think of the waste of your time if needing to make a claim. I am still feeling that the whole experience was a scam ......

I have been using this company for…
I have been using this company for annual European car hire insurance for a a few years. The first time a had to make a claim was in July 2022. I am still waiting for a settlement. The company keep making excuses for not paying. Now they are telling me they are about to close the claim. It just confirms my belief that insurance companies will stop at nothing to avoid paying.

Website fine, but no follow-up
Website perfectly fine, but I have not yet received a confirmation of my order, only a request to review. Rather unsettling. I also tried to contact the website via their chat app, but this did not work. Very disappointing.

If you make a claim, don't worry.
Having been using insurance4carhire for several years, I have always wondered how they would be if I had to make a claim.
Well, I have just made one and it took four working days for them to pay out the whole amount without query. Excellent!
